About thirty journalists, language speakers, web influencers, communicators from the sectoral ministries of the SWEDD project from the regions of Kankan, Faranah, Labé and the capital Conakry are taking part in a capacity building session, since yesterday Tuesday in Mamou. For four days, these actors from the world of communication will learn more about the key concepts of communication for social and behavior change.
It is the National School of Teachers (ENI) of the city Mamou which serves as a framework for the workshop. The opportunity for the participants to have extensive information about this project which is evolving in sixteen African countries including Guinea. Once trained, they should know better how to handle the concepts used within the framework of the SWEDD project. In any case, this is the meaning of the workshop, according to Mamadou Safaiou Bah, project coordinator. » This training on communication for behavioral and social change will allow you to appropriate the key concepts of the project which will be used in the 3 regions, 14 towns and 153 rural communes which are in the project intervention area. Such training sessions, the SWEDD project promises to organize more often, in order to achieve more results.
It should be recalled that in its current phase, supported by the World Bank, UNFPA and other partners, the SWEDD project runs until December 2024.
